Born in New York State, Chuck grew up and attended school in Kettering, Ohio, a suburb of Dayton.  The oldest of 4 siblings, Chuck earned his Bachelors Degree from the College of Wooster (Ohio); his Masters Degree in Health Care Administration from The Ohio State University; and his Professional Designation in Personal Financial Planning from UCLA.

Chuck married his college sweetheart, Gwen, in 1972.  A 1975 graduate of the OSU College of Medicine, Gwen was a Board-certified pediatrician, completing her training at Childrens Hospital of Los Angeles.  Gwen passed away in 2017.

Chuck and Gwen moved from Ohio to San Diego, CA in 1976 where Gwen was stationed at NAS Miramar as a General Medical Officer for the US Navy.  In 1980, after Gwen completed her military service and pediatric residency, Chuck and Gwen moved to Thousand Oaks, their home ever since.

Two children grew up and attended public schools in Thousand Oaks:  Rick, who lives in the Seattle area and works for a leading bank, is married and has 1 child; and Robin, who lives in Oahu with her husband and 2 children, and is a pediatrician just like her Mom.

Chuck is a retired Financial Planner, having worked for several small firms in Ventura County.  Chuck has been an active member of the Thousand Oaks community, volunteering for several organizations both before and after retirement:

·        AYSO youth soccer, as a coach, referee and Board member for more than 30 years

·        Kiwanis Club of Thousand Oaks, as a member for more than 10 years, and President in 2018

·        Conejo Senior Volunteer Program tax program for 6 years.
